About

I'm Shashank, a Software Engineer focused on building scalable software systems and the infrastructure behind modern applications. My work spans both product and platform engineering, covering distributed frontend architectures, backend services, build infrastructure, performance optimization, and platform technologies.

I work across Java, Spring Boot, MongoDB, TypeScript, React, webpack, and Module Federation. I'm particularly interested in distributed systems, infrastructure technologies, and understanding how complex software systems behave under the hood. Solving performance bottlenecks, improving reliability, and building systems that scale are the kinds of engineering challenges I enjoy most.

I'm also an active contributor to open source projects such as webpack and Module Federation, where I've contributed performance optimizations and infrastructure improvements that benefit the broader ecosystem.

I graduated from DA-IICT Gandhinagar with a degree in ICT and a minor in Computational Science. During my undergraduate studies, I co-authored research on multi-UAV swarm coordination using reinforcement learning, published in IEEE Communications Letters.

This site is where I write about software infrastructure, distributed systems, open source, performance engineering, and lessons learned while building systems at scale.
